Hey Oppo, I’m in the market for a different vehicle in the next few months to a year, I currently drive a 2015 Ford Taurus SHO that is tuned. I like it, but I want something a little more comfortable and possibly more sporty but I still need 4 doors. I’ve been looking at a few different things, this being one of them.

!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

Anyone have experience with the Panameras? How hard are they to maintain myself?

Some of the other things I’ve been tempted by is a newer Ford Raptor, or a CTS-V, but I also have a ~70 mile commute for work, so the little better gas mileage and more comfort of the Porsche would be nice, if I fit okay that is. I’m 6'2" and have fairly broad shoulders and long arms.

Any other suggestions?

We have a jkm AND a JMK?!?!?!

Kinja'd!!!

Oh right, the topic.

Have you considered the A7? It’s like thiiiis much less expensive than a Panaramamera to maintain. Gets half-decent mileage as well.

I haven’t really looked at the A7, but I will now. And not sure who JKM is, I use my first and middle initials and my last name as my screen name, which may not be the smartest thing, but oh well. I also don’t mind doing my own maintenance, I’m fairly handy and can learn stuff pretty quickly, I also really like the looks of the Panamera and it being almost a hatchback makes me happy.

But that CTS-V and it’s 640HP seems like a lot of fun, and I feel like it would be cheaper to maintain. If they still made the wagon it would be my first choice for sure.

D3 S8? That’s what I went with. But the panamera should be an all around better car than the S8. And the CTS-V is a great car, I had a first gen and it was great, but the second gen was much better, and gen3 is just sick. What’s fuel economy? Just get a PPI on the Porsche and use it to bargain on the price. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.  $40k seems reasonable too.  Didn’t realize they got so cheap.

The A7 does have the 3.0T supercharged V6 that’s tunable too, if you want more power.

Chevy SS

While not super tune-able with a chip or a flash, the aftermarket is massive and if anything goes wrong the LS parts bin sharing makes it cheap to fix. And it can be had in a manual. Respectable 425hp stock

Kinja'd!!!

If you are more looking for a budget version, people are still impressed with the Stinger GT. A budget SS if you will

Kinja'd!!!

If you are looking truck or SUV, I would toward the FCA Twins. A Durango or Grand Cherokee SRT. We are talking 25 more hp than a Raptor at 475hp with their 6.4L V8. And again huge aftermarket because Hemi

If you want a mixture of ok mpgs and Raptor like and want to sell it in the future (i.e. resale value) look to the Tacoma TRD Pro. I got 18 mpg in a base TRD pulling a car and trailer . Edmunds like it just as much if not more than the ZR2 (looks better too).
